Advertising – We create unique and thoughtful advertising plans and help you execute them in the most efficient and effective way possible.  Web.  Mobile.  Television.  Radio.  Print.  Outdoor.

Storytelling – The best storytelling makes you think, feel, and cry.  Great stories are inspirational, aspirational, help you understand loss and desire, and make sense of confusion and desperation – because this is what we are – human.

Storymaking – This can be far more fulfilling for you iconoclastic brands and archetypes (Coke, etc.), and exactly what will matter to those you’re trying to reach.  Storymaking builds consumer bases of rich, fully connected, empathetic brand lovers who will invite others to join their experience.  #brandpromise #connectedusers #love

Motion Design – Yes, it’s true, you actually do need custom motion graphics for your videos.  Our experts are skilled in After Effects and Apple Motion.  Motion Design solved!

Marketing

Search – Ignore this at your own peril.  Not to sound ominous or anything, but if you don’t control your search space someone else will.  In its most basic form, SEO & SEM are the processes of gaining traffic and visibility from search engines through paid and unpaid efforts.

Display & Pre-Roll – Display isn’t what it used to be.  Knowing what to use when, and whether or not to use it at all, makes all the difference.  Pre-Roll is key these days for a successful launch, from making the pre-roll video, to knowing where to run them, you’re covered.

Email – It’s a must!  Still the highest conversion rates of any medium.  We’ll help you craft effective plans that leverage your existing email list to re-market to your current subscribers or to set up unique campaigns with our own list of 1M+ emails, both of which will be user specific communications that act as your primary demand generation and conversion tool.

Social Media - A better way to think about it these days is social network marketing and advertising.  Much like SEO, SEM, Display, Pre-Roll, Earned Media, PR, and other forms of marketing, this method uses social networks to leverage audiences, build communities, generate leads, build and track reputations, and capture, track, and manage your online presence.

Finance

Corporate finance is time consuming and difficult to manage.  Trying to execute your corporate strategy without this in place can stop hard won progress.  We ease this burden by offering the resources startups and SMBs need to successfully cross the growth curve.

Financing - Financing companies is a complex process. Over the years we’ve garnered a lot of experience in this area.  We’ve raised money for our own companies, helped our clients raise money, and helped financial institutions find great companies to invest in.  We have deep relationships with venture capitalists, private equity investors, family offices of high net worth investors, individual investors, hedge fund managers, portfolio managers, broker dealers, and crowd funding resources.

Valuations - Acquiring the correct financing is a function of understanding how to properly value your company.  Investors invest at a value of X with hope of seeing a return of Y.  One cannot get to Y without first knowing what X is.  You see where this is going, right?  Execution here means building a business model that’s based in reality that may be substantiated with verifiable metrics.  We offer cost effective solutions to ensure you get this part right and stay on the best path to growth.  Budgeting for this is important, so plan accordingly.

Financial Analysis - The degree of difficulty varies by sector, industry, and the marketplace being addressed.  We’ll leverage our relationships and advisory board to help you understand your business so you can work this into your larger corporate strategy.

Bookkeeping & Accounting - We bring this functionality to your business as another service to support your growth.  Whether you’re a start-up, a ramp-up, or an established company growing by leaps and bounds, we have the expertise to service all your back office needs.

Strategy

Strategy drives policy.  Policy initiates process.  Process creates outputs.  Outputs build outcomes.  If you do this well, you win.  Game on!

Strategy consulting may be broken down into two primary pieces:

  1. Corporate Strategy
  2. Competitive Strategy

The first, Corporate Strategy, has two principle tenets:

  1. Capture of inter- and intra-departmental/divisional synergies.
  2. How the organization identifies and manages strategic uncertainty.

When we think about corporate strategy the idea is to use all the same operating assets to create value in three different ways:

  1. Decisions – Creates value by reducing risk.
  2. Promises – Creates value by besting competitors.
  3. Planning – Creates value by delivery/generating the cash that keeps the organization going.

The classic case of corporate strategy gone wrong is Sony’s Beta Max disaster.  Sony ran into what’s known as the “Strategy Paradox”, which is what happens when the same behaviors that maximize an organization’s possibilities for success also maximize its likelihood of tragedy.

The real dilemma at play in Sony’s case was that they used the past to guide their future, and as such, pursued what they thought was a low-risk business opportunity (as opposed to high-risk, high-return) and in so doing sacrificed any meaningful chance of success when they failed to compete.

The second, Competitive Strategy, is how organizations create value in specific product markets, e.g. ways the company defines the product market fit that’s the focus of the corporate strategy.

In 1980, ‘Porter’ defined the two types of competitive advantage an organization can achieve relative to its rivals: 1.) Lower cost, or, 2.) Differentiation.  Such advantages are derived from attributes that allow an organization to outperform its competition, i.e. market position, skills, resources, as seen in Porter’s five forces:

We can use ourselves as a case study.  JrPixel’s competitive advantage lies in its’ understanding that its’ service offerings represent the corporate strategy of tomorrow.

The CIO, CTO, CMO, CSO, COO, and CEO are best friends with overlapping workflows, when once they were silos of radical differentiation.
